Holly was born in Freemont, California in 1977, living directly on the San Andreas fault for three months before her parents moved back to Long Island, New York for the remainder of her socially isolated childhood. After spending most of her time studying, participating in numerous extra-curricular activities, playing outside, or going for long bikerides on the streets around town, she graduated Northport High School with honors in 1995.

The following fall, she enrolled at Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, with the intent to major in Biology. After changing her major more than a few times over the next four years, Holly decided to pursue her first love, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in June 1999 with a double major in Art History and Studio Art.

Not wanting to face the horrors of the real world just yet, Holly moved into a low-end apartment in the Wicker Park area of Chicago, Illinois, and for the next two years, worked through many specialized studio classes to earn her second undergraduate degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in August 2000.

Having no idea what to do with two degrees in Fine Arts, Holly finally decided to bite the bullet and move back to New York, subsequently earning her Teaching Certification in Art Education from the State University of New York at New Paltz by December of 2001.

For the past five years, Holly has made her home in upstate New York, and works full time as an Art Teacher at Kingston High School, where she instructs a range of courses that have come to include Computer Imagery, Fashion Illustration, Studio Art, Studio in Media Arts, and Advertising Design.

Holly has just completed the Graduate Program at SUNY New Paltz, earning a Master of Art in Art Studio Degree with a concentration in Painting in the summer of 2005. As a full-time teacher, she also aquired tenure in the spring of 2006.

She currently resides in Woodstock, New York.
